Neras are created and produced in small-batch capsule collections, each with its own story and cultural ispirazione. In doing so, Nera seeks to create a universe where past and present are in closer dialogue with one another, preserving the best of the past to inspire a culturally rich future.

Like our Arco: the streetwear adaptation of Achille Castiglione’s iconic Arco lamp - each capsule uses a thoughtful curation of colors, components, and forms to express our cultural passions and pay homage to iconic moments across the ages of art, architecture, and style.

Reigniting the best moments, methods, and modes of living of our past through our contemporary footwear is central to Nera’s core values and aesthetic. And for us, this ethos starts with our partnership with our experienced artisans, and the quality assurance of the “Made In Italy” trademark.

The entire process of creating a pair of Neras, from the design to the production phases of mold-making, sourcing, stitching, and final assembly, are performed within the region of Abruzzo, with time-tested craftsmanship and the highest quality materials. The hand-built processes, from hand-sewing the contrast stitching, to hand-painting the upper and hand-carving the leather comprise over 20 unique steps to yield a product that confidently challenges the expression “they don’t make them like they used to.”
